Jamie Vardy is back in action after he came off the bench to make his Cremonese debut.

The Leicester City legend departed the Foxes after 13 years at the club and decided to join the Serie A underdogs.

Vardy has been handed the number 10 shirt and was named on the bench for their away trip to Hellas Verona.

Backed by a large away following, the 38-year-old was introduced in the second half but couldn’t help find a winner as the two sides played out a goalless draw.

He is already having an impact on his new teammates it seems, who have taken on board his habits.

One of the secrets to Vardy’s everlasting success with Leicester was his incredible pre-match routine.

He would often be spotted drinking Red Bull in order to get himself fuelled for the game and while sitting on the bench on Monday night, one of his new teammates was spotted doing the same.

It’s not uncommon but the energy drink has turned into Vardy’s trademark in recent years – as well as scoring plenty of goals.

The 0-0 draw meant that Cremonese’s perfect start to the season came to an end, but they are now third in the table.

When will Jamie Vardy make his home debut for Cremonese?

Plenty of Leicester fans tuned in to watch their idol make his debut in Italy, and won’t have to wait much longer for him to play again.

Cremonese host Parma on Sunday 21 September, with the game due to kick-off at 2:00PM BST.

Their home, Stadio Giovanni Zini, is considerably smaller than the King Power Stadium. It can hold up to 14,834 and can hopefully continue to be a fortress for this season.
