Middlesbrough and Norwich City faced off in a 3pm kick-off on Saturday and fans have had a lot to say about Michael Carrick.
Middlesbrough fans gave up on promotion earlier this month following a string of poor results.
Boro then lost to Sheffield Wednesday on Monday, but thanks to a number of other sides also dropping points, they remained firmly in the play-off picture going into Saturday.
Norwich City sacked their manager earlier this week, sitting 14th in the league table before the weekend’s matches kicked off.
As a result, Middlesbrough looked to be clear favourites going into the game, knowing a win would keep them in the top-six race ahead of their final day clash with Coventry City, who lost to Luton Town in an early kick-off.

Middlesbrough fans done with Michael Carrick after Norwich City
Despite having little to play for, Norwich looked much improved under temporary manager Jack Wilshere.
Boro, meanwhile, showed patches of quality throughout the 90, but struggled to take their chances.
When all was said and done, Middlesbrough drew 0-0, hurting their chances of a top-six finish massively.
Boro fans have since taken to social media to make their feelings on Carrick very clear.
One fan wrote: “Bye bye Carrick (hope so!)”
A second added: “I’m convinced Middlesbrough don’t want to be in the playoffs, Carrick doesn’t seem to bothered and most fans have given up on it, another —- season being a Boro fan.”
“Genuinely believe the club doesn’t want to get promoted. Since Christmas, the club has been strangled by Carrick but for what reason?”
A fourth stated: “So If Carrick doesn’t want to say we have a poor mentality or killer instinct, I’m sure the 25k Boro fans in the ground can say it! Poor Lack of mentality and conviction. Poor managerial tactics. OUT OF HIS DEPTH.”
Another wrote: “A dummy would do more on the sideline and in the dressing room than Carrick. He is hopeless.”

What Middlesbrough need for play-off finish
Middlesbrough are now set to take on Coventry City in their final game of the 2024/25 season.
Millwall and Blackburn Rovers won their 3pm fixtures, seeing them climb above the Teessiders.
It now means Boro have to beat Frank Lampard’s side next week and rely heavily on results elsewhere going their way.
