Ruben Selles has had a really tough start to life in charge of Sheffield United.
The Blades have lost all four of their opening four games this season, with three of those coming in the Championship. It means that the South Yorkshire outfit are bottom of the table, below Oxford United on goal difference.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 21 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 7 | -4 | 1 | |
| 22 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 10 | -7 | 1 | |
| 23 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 3 | 2 | 5 | -3 | 0 | |
| 24 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 3 | 1 | 6 | -5 | 0 |
It’s been a really frustrating few weeks for those at Bramall Lane, and despite a promising pre-season, the team have been poor defensively, and significant changes are underway to ensure that they find improvements quickly.
Nevertheless, for Selles, has one complaint about his players at Sheffield United that he wants to see change immediately.

Ruben Selles demands that his Sheffield United players change one aspect of their game
After being knocked out by Birmingham City in the first round of the Carabao Cup, the Blades’ next game comes against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.

However, there is one thing that Selles wants to see his Sheffield United team cut out of their game. He said (via: The Star): “We will need to address that (dissent). That is not going to be possible now. It’s already three in two games and then we need to address that internally.
“We need to be focused on what we can do. No one else. The referee is not an excuse. The ball, the transfer window, as I have said … that should not be an excuse. We should just be focused in our game and then let the referee make decisions.
“Not just blame if a ball is in or out, or situations like that. We need to be focused on what we can do because realistically, nobody else is guilty. It’s our team, it’s us performing and it’s us who, in the end, need to change the situation.”
The Blades have picked up three yellow cards for dissent in two games
Frustrations are boiling over in S2, with three players having found themselves in the book over the last two matches.
Gustavo Hamer and Louie Barry, who missed out on the Republic of Ireland squad for September, were both given a yellow card by John Busby in the Blades’ 1-0 defeat to Millwall at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Tyrese Campbell was booked by Thomas Kirk against Swansea City on the stroke of half-time for a similar offence.
While it is early days in the campaign, Selles needs to get a grip on discipline at Sheffield United with six yellow cards already dished out among the squad in the Championship.
