Sheffield United finally got their first points of the season at the weekend.
Callum O’Hare’s second-half goal was enough to earn Chris Wilder the first win of his third spell as manager.
It was a timely victory and keeps the Blades within touching distance of moving out of the relegation zone.
Wilder has a deadline of Christmas to get Sheffield United into promotion contention, where many predicted they would be at the end of the season.
Opta revised those predictions after the dreadful start to the season but, where are they tipped to finish now?

Sheffield United tipped to finish midtable
Relegation to League One probably hadn’t even crossed the minds of Blades fans before the start of the season, but even some would have been fearing the prospect of trips to Barnsley and Rotherham United if the form didn’t improve.
Luckily, if Opta’s supercomputer is anything to go by, the S2 club will remain in the second tier and have been tipped to finish midtable.
They reckon that the Blades are set for a 15th place finish on 61 points. Sheffield Wednesday meanwhile are set to go down, meaning that we would lose the Steel City derby.
As we all know, the supercomputer is never wrong, so take this as gospel…
Chris Wilder sends four-word message to Sheffield United players
The next challenge for the Blades is to follow up their win with another in midweek.

Struggling Southampton are the side heading to Bramall Lane and they, like Sheffield United, have only won once all season.
Home advantage could be key for the hosts and Wilder has told his players to keep the faith.
“They’re good players here and they’ve been good players wherever else they’ve been,” he said.
“Believe in the process, believe in how we go about trying to win a game of football with and without the ball.”
