Tom Brady has shared his thoughts on Birmingham City’s owner and manager ahead of the 2025/26 Championship season.
The Blues set an EFL points record in 2024/25, securing themselves a swift return to the Championship in the process.
Birmingham City have since set about making some big changes to their squad for the new season.
Alfie May has departed, but some top names have arrived, with new signing Tommy Doyle backing Birmingham to reach the Premier League already.
Now, investor Tom Brady has sent a clear warning to the club’s rivals going into 2025/26.

Tom Brady on Birmingham City owner Tom Wagner
Birmingham won League One with relative ease last season but face much stiffer competition in 2025/26.
Clubs like Ipswich Town are coming into the division with plenty of money from parachute payments and Premier League-level players.
But Brady has warned that he would never bet against Blues chairman Tom Wagner due to his huge ambition.
He told The Sports Agents podcast: “I think that my partner, Tom Wagner (Birmingham chairman), is an incredible man, incredible businessman.
“He has huge ambitions for the club, and I would never bet against anything that he tries to accomplish.”
The former NFL player went on to praise manager Chris Davies and discussed reaching the Premier League.
Brady added: “I think this club has a great manager. The expectations and standards have been set at a different level, and we’re going into this Championship season with great excitement.
“We want to restore it (Birmingham) to the glory that it’s been in the past. To move up and to be promoted to the Premier League is a very daunting task, but it can be achieved.”

Clubs winning back-to-back promotions from League One is a tough ask, but it is certainly doable.
Ipswich were the most recent side to achieve that feat, but Wagner has tempered Birmingham promotion expectations going into 2025/26.
He said: “You have to have that undefeatable optimism in order to do things that are big.
“We’re competing against every other form of entertainment that’s available to our fans, so we have to deliver something that is worthy of their time and money.
“Now we’re back in the Championship we will be highly competitive on a revenue basis, as compared to any other team. We’re always planning for the future and while it would be nice to be promoted in our 150th anniversary year it’s even more important to remember that it’s always about the next match.”
