Tom Fellows has completed his move from West Brom to Southampton in a deal that was completed relatively quickly.
The England underage international star has joined the Saints in a move that has been viewed as being one where he will be the replacement for Tyler Dibling, who left Southampton for Everton.
Fellows made the switch to Southampton in a similar fashion to Finn Azaz, as the Republic of Ireland international made the decision to depart Middlesbrough.
Azaz made it clear why he left the Riverside to play for the Saints, with him believing he had a better chance of playing in the Premier League with Southampton than Middlesbrough.

Now, Fellows has followed the example of Azaz and made it clear exactly why he left West Brom.
Tom Fellows loves the ambition being shown by Southampton
In a similar fashion to Darnell Furlong, who made it clear why he joined Ipswich Town from West Brom, Tom Fellows has spoken about the desire to play in the Premier League.
The winger believes he has a better opportunity to do this with Southampton compared to the chances he would have had under Ryan Mason at West Brom.
Speaking with the club media upon his announcement as a Southampton player, Fellows said: “It’s really exciting. It’s obviously a massive club, and the ambition was clear to me: they want to get in the Premier League, and that’s a clear goal.
“I’m looking forward to a new challenge for me at a new club, so I’ve got to test myself again, and I’m looking forward to it.”

Bad optics for West Brom
The loss of two star players in Darnell Furlong and Tom Fellows does not bode well for West Brom’s ambition of making a return to the Premier League, last competing in the top flight in 2021.
Ryan Mason made a fine start to life as West Brom manager; however, he will be concerned after losing several players this summer.

The fact that players are willing to leave the club to join Championship rivals in the hope of promotion does not paint a good picture about their thoughts on West Brom achieving this feat.
West Brom will now need to bring in replacements to replace both Tom Fellows and Darnell Furlong, meaning they are expected to be one of the busiest Championship clubs in the transfer window before the deadline; with only three days to do so, it is not the best preparation for the long Championship campaign ahead.
