Rob Edwards is set to be confirmed as Middlesbrough manager in the coming days.
EFL Analysis reported earlier that Middlesbrough had agreed a deal with Luton Town for Edwards which will see the League One side earn compensation from the move.
Edwards has been out of work since being sacked by the Hatters after playing a part in their relegation from the Championship.
Now that a deal has been agreed to see him replace Michael Carrick, who was sacked by Boro at the end of the season, details have confirmed when he will take charge and who his backroom staff will be.

Rob Edwards to be confirmed as Middlesbrough manager
EFL Analysis’ Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Edwards will be unveiled at the Riverside Stadium on Thursday.
The 42-year-old officially left his post as Luton boss in January 2025.
News of his appointment comes at the perfect time as Middlesbrough look to get their transfer business underway.
He could also receive some extra funds, with the Teessiders set to receive £9m from a Morgan Rogers sell-on clause if he joins Chelsea.
Who is part of Rob Edwards’ coaching staff at Middlesbrough?
A new manager means new coaches in the dugout too, and Edwards already has one we know of.
Bailey confirmed that Harry Watling, 35, will work alongside Edwards this season.
Watling has worked with former Rangers and Queens Park Rangers manager Michael Beale and was previously in charge of non-league outfit Ebbsfleet United.
When appointed boss of QPR in 2022, Beale was complimentary of Watling on their club website, saying: “I’m delighted that Harry has joined the club. He is a talented coach who has extensive experience for his age.
“Harry is a person I have known for a long time and I feel that he complements our existing first-team staff very well. He will be an asset to the club.”
