Jobe Bellingham’s future at Sunderland looks to be decided, with the midfielder holding talks with Bundesliga sides after a tremendous season with the Black Cats.
Eintracht Frankfurt are the most recent club to speak to Bellingham, and the 19-year-old is keen to choose where he will play his football this week, just days after winning promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs.
The teenager had the perfect view of Tommy Watson’s outstanding last-minute winner at Wembley on Saturday, with the goal securing the Wearsiders’ return to the top flight after eight years away from the division.
However, with the promise of Champions League football in Germany with Frankfurt, a move away is attractive. Yet, there is one major stumbling block in his way and Sunderland could be the winners of the deal either way.

With the transfer window set to open on June 1, there is plenty of time for a deal to be agreed between Sunderland and Bellingham’s potential next club.

But, there is a chance that the 19-year-old does not find himself a move as the Black Cats prepare for life in the Premier League, with it becoming clear how owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus feels about a potential sale of the midfielder.
As per Ed Aarons, Sunderland are keen to keep hold of Bellingham, and while he has held talks with Bundesliga clubs, he may not be granted permission to move to Germany this summer.
TBR Football have also reported that Regis Le Bris has a place in his squad for the England U21 international next season, and this has provided a hiccup for the ex-Birmingham City man as a move away looked to be a near-guarantee at one point this season.

Regis Le Bris can let go of Jobe Bellingham and still find success
While it is clear to see that Bellingham is a crucial player for the Black Cats, he is not irreplaceable and even if the Wearsiders do decide to let go of him, they will be able to bring in players with quality to take his place in the team.
Jordan Henderson is a name that has been mentioned by Ed Aarons as a potential replacement, with his experience a huge driving factor behind any transfer.
Abdoulaye Doucoure could also be a very sensible option for Sunderland, with the midfielder set to leave Everton this summer as a free agent with his contract set to expire. The 32-year-old has come up with some important goals for the Toffees this season, and he would be an excellent addition.
However, the Black Cats will be keen on keeping hold of their young talent, and with Bellingham only going to improve going forward and following promotion, they may just be able to entice him financially.
