Leicester City star hints that he could be staying despite Premier League interest

Leicester City fans are clinging onto any hope of positivity after a dismal season.

Relegation from the Premier League has left Ruud van Nistelrooy’s future in doubt, with Russell Martin looking like he’d join the Foxes.

Martin still hasn’t been appointed by Leicester and now there are question marks about whether or not he will even come to the King Power Stadium.

Add that to the fact that Jamie Vardy is no longer a Leicester player and that the Foxes could be hit by a points deduction, there isn’t much to smile about.

In a bid to find any shred of light at the end of the tunnel, one player’s social media activity has provided some room for encouragement.

Bilal El Khannouss could stay at Leicester

Bilal El Khannouss is one of the only Leicester players who could honestly say he had a good season.

In his debut campaign in England, the Moroccan impressed and has now caught the eye of Arsenal and Wolves.

Fans of the Foxes seemed resigned to losing the 21-year-old but his latest Instagram post featured the caption: ‘Hungry for more’, as well as adding Leicester to his bio.

It’s not a given that he will remain in the East Midlands next season but stranger things have happened.

How likely is it that Bilal El Khannouss stays at Leicester?

In all honesty, it’s not that likely the 21-year-old stays.

A fully-fledged Moroccan international, El Khannouss will have his eyes set on earning a spot in their squad for the 2026 World Cup and want to play at the highest level to give himself the best chance.

El Khannouss would be too good for the Championship and given Leicester’s perilous financial position and need to raise funds, the attacking midfielder would command a decent fee and generate some much-needed cash.
