League Two is set to be as competitive as ever.

MK Dons have been active in the transfer window and with three automatic promotion spots on the line, a number of sides will fancy their chances to secure promotion to League One.

There are experienced heads, young talents and Football League favourites all across the fourth tier.

So, with that, EFL Analysis looks at seven League Two stars who will catch the eye.

Jake Tabor – Swindon Town

Jake Tabor has been dubbed as ‘Jamie Vardy 2.0’ already after an incredible record at non-league level with Amersham Town.

Tabor hit over 100 goals in two seasons and subsequently landed his first professional contract with Swindon Town.

It will be interesting to see if he can handle the ability of the Football League.

Liam Bennett – Cambridge United

Keeping hold of Liam Bennett will prove to be a massive coup for Cambridge United.

The right-back was one of the few to cover himself in glory during the U’s dreadful campaign last time out, and many expected him to move on.

Cambridge may not be overwhelming promotion favourites but Bennett will be the key man getting up and down the right flank.

Dan Crowley – MK Dons

It could’ve been easy to pick anyone from MK Dons, whether that be Aaron Collins or the addition of Callum Paterson from Sheffield Wednesday.

Dan Crowley knows League Two like the back of his hand after starring for Notts County, and is one of the most technically gifted players in the fourth tier.

Expect him to get plenty of assists and chip in with the odd wonder goal or two.

Emre Tezgel – Crewe Alexandra

Stoke City are very excited by Emre Tezgel and have every reason to be.

The young forward has made the short journey to Cheshire to join Crewe Alexandra, who have a great reputation for developing young players.

Tezgel will get some much-needed game time at first team level and is certainly one to watch.

Samson Tovide – Colchester United

It’s quite astonishing to see that Samson Tovide hasn’t been snapped up by a club higher up the leagues.

That won’t bother Danny Cowley and Colchester United fans one bit as they look to get the very best out of the 21-year-old this time.

He will be hoping to get more than the seven goals he returned in the league last season and will be aiming for double figures minimum.

Jorge Grant – Salford City

Lincoln City and Peterborough United got to see the best of Jorge Grant but ever since then, big moves to the likes of Hearts in Scotland have been below-par.

Grant now has the chance to breathe new life into him at Salford City and with the number of high-profile signings through the door at the Peninsula Stadium, there is hope that the long-term goal of promotion to League One can finally be realised.

Armando Dobra – Chesterfield

Rounding off the list is another player with brilliant technical ability.

Armando Dobra regularly shone for Chesterfield last season and can unlock defences at the flick of the switch.

When Paul Cook’s side pick up wins this season, Dobra is more than likely to have made some form of contribution.
