Chris Wilder is the latest name to be linked with the Leicester City job.
Wilder was sacked by Sheffield United but could be set for a quick return to management thanks to their Championship rivals.
The Foxes sacked Ruud van Nistelrooy and have been linked with a whole host of names for the managerial role.
Sean Dyche is friends with Jon Rudkin but rumours of the former Everton boss heading to the King Power Stadium have died down.
Danny Rohl is another Leicester favourite but if Wilder were to be appointed, what would that mean for some members of the squad?
With that, EFL Analysis looks at who would thrive under Wilder and which Leicester player may be hoping for a different manager.

Leicester City winners and losers from Chris Wilder being appointed as manager
Harry Souttar
It’s been tough for Harry Souttar ever since the moment he walked through the King Power Stadium doors in January 2023.
Souttar scored an own goal on his debut after a £15m move from Stoke City and while he has impressed whenever called upon in his limited appearances, no manager has really favoured him.
The Australian spent the first half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Sheffield United where he became a fan favourite and adored by Wilder.

His loan was cut short due to a season-ending injury but when asked about bringing him to the Blades in March 2025, he told the Sheffield Star: “I have kept in contact with Harry. We were all devastated as he was in a real rich vein of form, and the team were.
“It was an unfortunate injury and I am sure he will get back to where he was with us. It will be good to see Harry, he’s a popular boy and the players will be keen to see and meet up with him.”
If Wilder comes to the King Power Stadium, expect Souttar to be a mainstay.
Hamza Choudhury
Another favourite of Wilder’s, Hamza Choudhury played for the former Blades manager at Watford as well.
Choudhury was a regular in the side as Sheffield United reached the Championship play-offs before falling short to Sunderland at Wembley Stadium.
Homegrown at Leicester, the Bangladesh international will be desperate to feature for his boyhood club regularly and prove that he has a long-term future with the Foxes.
Should Wilder come in, he would be a nailed-on starter.
Luke Thomas
Despite replacing Victor Kristiansen in the starting XI towards the end of last season, Luke Thomas won’t be too thrilled to hear of the rumours linking Wilder to Leicester.
After Wilder returned to Bramall Lane to replace Paul Heckingbottom, Thomas’ game time depleted drastically and his loan was cut short in January 2024.
That doesn’t bode too well for his long term future at the Foxes if the 57-year-old takes the job Thomas may find himself back out of contention and looking for a new club.
