Leicester City could make Sam Greenwood their first signing of the season as the Foxes gear up for a year of Championship football.
The summer transfer window rumours are in full swing, although it has been quiet at Leicester for a variety of reasons.
Not only are the Foxes facing a possible points deduction, there is also the small matter of seeing if Ruud van Nistelrooy will be the Leicester manager for the 2025/26 campaign.
Targets are still being identified and according to the Daily Mail, Greenwood of Leeds United could be the first signing of the summer.
As a versatile attacker who can play anywhere across the frontline, replacing Jamie Vardy will be key to their promotion ambitions.
EFL Analysis takes a look at the winners and losers should Sam Greenwood to Leicester become official.

Winners from a Sam Greenwood transfer to Leicester City from Leeds United
Andrew Hughes (Set piece coach)
You have to go back to James Maddison, maybe even Riyad Mahrez, to remember Leicester’s last decent set piece taker.
Last season, the Foxes were the worst side in the league from set pieces according to Opta, scoring seven from a total of 83 shots.
Greenwood is a prolific set piece taker and has been able to score some stunners – including one against Leicester during a loan spell with Middlesbrough.
Bringing him in could make them a threat from corners and free-kicks, giving the East Midlanders much more hope of getting on the scoresheet.
Sam Greenwood
It goes without saying but this move would obviously be great for Greenwood.
As well as Middlesbrough, the 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Preston North End. In both of those loans he managed 10 goal contributions but with Leeds now in the Premier League and Daniel Farke likely to bring in new faces, it could be time for him to depart.
Leicester need forwards after Vardy departed the Foxes and Greenwood will see this as a chance to go and nail down a starting spot in one of the better teams in the league.
Losers from a Sam Greenwood transfer to Leicester
Will Alves
Will Alves excelled on loan at Cardiff City and big things are expected of the youngster when he comes back.
Alves was handed his first-team debut aged 16 for Leicester and had it not been for a long-term injury, may have already been in the squad.
This season is a big one for the youngster as relegation means players will be moved on and he will feel he is ready to contribute at the King Power Stadium.
Bilal El Khannouss
Taking a slightly different angle, the approach for Greenwood seems to suggest that Bilal El Khannouss could be moving on this summer.
El Khannouss hinted he could stay at Leicester on social media but to be quite frank, he was one of the only players who looked up to the task last season.
Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers are among the teams to have been linked with his signature and given that they could generate a healthy fee for the Morocco international, signing the Leeds attacker would be a huge hint that he may not be around for the season.
