Birmingham City are getting linked with names left, right and centre this summer as they look to continue their momentum from League One in the Championship this season.

The Blues stormed their way to the League One title with a record points tally last season, and there are huge expectations of Birmingham City upon their return to the Championship.

Chris Davies is a talented manager who has already assembled a strong squad, meaning there is not a lot that needs to be added this summer window.

Yet Birmingham City have been linked to a Spanish winger that is also of interest to a number of clubs across Europe, including Turkish giants Beşiktaş.

The Spaniard is reportedly the interest of a number of sides across Europe, including Turkish giants Beşiktaş, Olympiacos, and also Nottingham Forest.

It is being reported that Birmingham are interested in bringing in at least one winger; it is a priority for the club.

Who is Carlos Vicente?

Carlos Vicente is a winger who is currently playing his football in La Liga with Basque club Deportivo Alavés.

The 26-year-old had a good season at Alavés last season, as he scored five goals and provided five assists last season for the club in the league as they finished 15th.

His entire career has been spent in Spain, having played for six different clubs since making his senior debut for Zaragoza B in September 2017 at the age of 18.

Vicente’s attitude has been one of hard work to complement his ability as he has had to work his way up through the Spanish divisions before earning a transfer to Alavés, becoming a key piece in their squad.
