Blackburn Rovers have been one of the busiest Championship clubs in the transfer market this summer, as they have seen several new faces walk through the door at Ewood Park, while others have bid farewell.
One player that looks certain to exit the club is Callum Brittain, as he looks to force a move away from Lancashire.
The full-back refused to play against Accrington Stanley in Rovers’ pre-season friendly victory last week.
Valerin Ismael has made his view clear on the future of Callum Brittain at the club after this decision by the full-back not to make an appearance in the fixture.

Brittain has been an important player for Rovers since he joined the club in the summer of 2022 from Barnsley.
Ismael will not want this to turn into a transfer saga and will hope a deal can be struck with Middlesbrough sooner rather than later.
Middlesbrough ‘not a million miles away’ from Blackburn Rovers’ valuation of Callum Brittain
Middlesbrough have reportedly made an offer for the Blackburn full-back already; however, it did not reach their valuation of Brittain.
As per information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that they are close to meeting the valuation for Brittain.

It is understood Middlesbrough made an initial offer of £1.75 million, which was rejected by Rovers, who believe he is worth £3 million, with Brittain being in the final year of his contract with the club.
There is a belief that Blackburn may accept an offer of £2.5 million for Brittain, meaning Middlesbrough are ‘not a million miles away’.
Callum Brittain’s impact on Blackburn Rovers
The 27-year-old has spent the final three seasons at Ewood Park, and across this period he has featured in 133 matches.
Brittain believed his performance in the Championship last season was his best since joining the club, sharing this view with Rovers TV in May.
He said: “When I came here, I had my first couple of years in the Championship and was still young.
“I have sort of grown up at Blackburn into a bit of a leader role, I have enjoyed my time here, and hopefully it carries on.
“I think (the fans) have appreciated my energy and intensity in the games this year. Obviously, the goals and assists help, but I put 100 percent into every game.
“I have worked hard on the other sides of my game, and I think they have recognised that. I am really glad to engage with the fans like I have done this year.”
