Leicester City fans have been sent into hysterics after reports confirmed that the club had rejected a bid from Norwich City for one of their key players.
Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett revealed that Norwich had been knocked back in an approach for the Leicester goalkeeper, who has been in and out of the first team.
Stolarczyk stepped in during Mads Hermansen’s absence for a two-month spell of the Foxes’ Premier League campaign and was one of the few to cover himself in any glory.
With Leicester facing a possible points deduction, a fire sale of players is expected but Stolarczyk is one of those they want to keep given that his teammate Hermansen will almost certainly leave for a decent fee.
The Poland youngster signed a new contract last week and off the back of Liam Manning’s failed attempt to add a second goalkeeper to his ranks, Leicester fans have all had their say on the bid.
Leicester City fans react to Norwich City’s Jakub Stolarczyk offer
Despite the ongoing tensions at the King Power Stadium, Stolarczyk is a popular figure in the East Midlands and is seen as somebody with a long-term future at the club.
In response to the news of Norwich’s bid, @jazzarelle said: “Norwich need a reality check go get Danny Ward!! Absolute cheek of it!!”
@Bluefox63 added: “Good. We need to keep him, he will be first choice in the Championship.”

@Elm_665 reminded Norwich supporters: “Just signed a new deal, he ain’t going anywhere.”
@sparky__26 commented: “Good luck, he’s just signed a new deal…”
Jakub Stolarczyk set to step up at Leicester
As well as Jeremy Monga committing his future to Leicester, it seems Stolarczyk has no plans to leave the Foxes anytime soon.
He was one of the nine players to sign a new deal, adding an extra year to his current contract and it all points to him becoming the number one.
His goalkeeping compatriot Hermansen will be wanted and holds high value, allowing the Foxes to generate some much-needed cash.
That would leave the 24-year-old as the only recognised first-team goalkeeper at the club and it feels like now is his time to take the reins and stand between the sticks in a massive season for the Foxes.
