The transfer window is closing in on its first closure of the summer, and Derby County have been busy finding targets ready for a strong end to June.
With Jerry Yates unlikely to re-join the Rams, a new striker will be at the top of John Eustace’s priority list while defenders are also still needed – although supporters would love to see Nat Phillips return to Pride Park after a successful loan.
The future of one Derby favourite looks to be secured with reports saying that Craig Forsyth has signed a new deal, but at right-back, question marks remain over the future of Kane Wilson.
Despite triggering a one-year extension in his contract when the Rams avoided relegation on the final day of the season, Eustace has been looking at more options in that position but they face new competition in their hunt for one star from Hull City.
Derby County face anxious wait as Rangers enter the race for Cody Drameh
Pete O’Rourke stated in May that the Tigers had turned down a loan bid for Cody Drameh from Derby, while Sky Sports reported that Preston North End had an offer of their own turned down.

Blackburn Rovers are also showing an interest in the defender, but in a fresh twist, Hull Live have revealed that Rangers have now entered the race for the 23-year-old.
Drameh has two years left on his contract at the MKM Stadium, but he struggled for minutes last season after leaving Leeds United on a free.
The right-back is not the only Championship player who Russell Martin is interested in, with Flynn Downes also a target and with European football on the cards for the Scottish giants, this will be a large pull that the likes of Derby cannot compete against.

John Eustace needs cover at right-back
The Rams are still awaiting their first signing of the summer, but with their interest in Drameh, at least one of their three right-backs must surely be departing soon.
Ryan Nyambe and Joe Ward both struggled with injury throughout the 2024/25 campaign, and this left Wilson to take charge of the position and the Hull defender may just be a target for cover reasons.
However, supporters are nervously awaiting the announcement of their number two signing a new long-term deal at Pride Park after an excellent first two years in the East Midlands. The Rams can ill-afford to lose Wilson, and Eustace will be locked in conversation with the 25-year-old.
