Millwall could lose a player to a Premier League club this summer on one condition which could involve Arsenal.

The Lions ended 2024/25 on a good run of form, but it wasn’t enough to secure a play-off place.

Millwall secured eighth place in the Championship, missing out on the top six by just two points after results on the final day didn’t go their way.

Attention has now turned towards the summer transfer window, which will reopen on June 16.

Attacker Mihailo Ivanovic has transfer interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers, while interest in Japhet Tanganga was expected and has since emerged.

Crystal Palace eye Millwall’s Japhet Tanganga

Millwall’s defensive record in the most recent campaign was solid, and Tanganga played a key role.

It emerged earlier this month that Leeds United and Sunderland were interested in the defender.

The 26-year-old made 40 Championship appearances and scored two goals in 2024/25, and another top-flight side are now interested in the defender’s services.

The Express is now reporting that Crystal Palace have joined the race for Tanganga.

And they say that the former Tottenham Hotspur man would like his future resolved by the end of June.

Crucially, they add that Palace’s pursuit of the stopper will depend on the future of Marc Guehi, who has transfer interest this month.

What we know about Arsenal interest in Marc Guehi

The England international is thought to once again be of interest to Premier League high-flyers, Arsenal.

A report from The Athletic this week has said Mikel Arteta wants to bring another centre-back to the Emirates this summer.

They missed out on Dean Huijsen, who left Bournemouth to link up with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, it’s understood that Palace’s Guehi is high on Arsenal’s list of centre-back targets.

The stopper is now entering the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park.
