Leicester City are monitoring the situation of one former Leeds United player who shone during the Whites’ Championship promotion-winning 2024/25 season.
The Foxes’ recruitment this summer has been relatively quiet after they took the immediate plunge from the Premier League after a challenging campaign.
Leicester City were unable to stay up, despite the efforts of former bosses Steve Cooper and Ruud Van Nistelrooy, and Marti Cifuentes has since taken over the side, who have endured a mixed bag of results in the Championship so far.
Bilal El Khannouss could depart Leicester City this summer, whilst Wout Faes is also attracting interest from elsewhere.
As the need for replacements becomes more urgent, Leicester have identified one ‘unplayable’ former Leeds United star who shone last season, and such a signing would show the intent of Jon Rudkin and the Foxes board.

Leicester City show interest in Tottenham and former Leeds United star Manor Solomon
It has been reported, via Ben Jacobs on the Last Word on Spurs podcast, that Leicester City are interested in signing Manor Solomon ahead of Monday’s deadline.
Solomon, 26, looks unlikely to play a role in Thomas Frank’s Tottenham Hotspur side, making him available for a move elsewhere.
He found his form last season for Leeds United in their title-winning season under Daniel Farke, where he bagged 10 goals, whilst also contributing 12 assists.
Solomon also boasts Champions League experience, having scored two goals in two games against Real Madrid in the 2020/21 season, whilst also netting against Pep Guardiola’s Man City in the season prior.
Manor Solomon has been handed a big sell by one former Leeds United boss
Leeds United loanee Manor Solomon attracted plenty of attention during his successful spell in West Yorkshire last season, proving to be a top player at Championship level.
He made an immediate impact for Leeds in his debut at home to Hull City, having notched an assist in a 2-0 win against the Tigers.
Reflecting on his performance shortly after his debut, via the BBC, former Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn said: “We have actually seen the majority of the new signings today. I thought Manor Solomon was probably the man of the match to be honest. He’s got a quality that is better than this level, you can obviously see that.
“Initially in the first 20 minutes it was like tackling smoke. He was unplayable at times. All those messages are good messages.”
Solomon holds plenty of promise, and could be considered a top signing for the quality he possesses.
