EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that high-flying Championship sides Leeds United and Sheffield United are showing interest in one top European talent.

Despite being in the business end of the Championship season, it is clear that several sides are preparing for the summer transfer window as they look to bolster their options ahead of the next campaign.

Newly-promoted and League One champions Birmingham City are interested in Peterborough United’s Kwame Poku, whilst Norwich City want to sign Jacob Wright on a permanent deal, and the next clubs looking to get their business done are both Leeds United and Sheffield United.

An EFL Analysis exclusive can reveal that the two Championship sides have kept close tabs on one Finnish star who has undergone a brilliant campaign, but there is a catch.

Leeds United and Sheffield United keep tabs on Go Ahead Eagles star Oliver Antman

Speaking to TBR Football’s Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis understands that Leeds United are amongst the sides keeping close tabs on Go Ahead Eagles star Oliver Antman.

We understand that Leicester City, Southampton, and Sheffield United are also watching the Finnish winger, who is having a landmark season for his Dutch side.

We can reveal that Leeds have been tracking him for several weeks, but they are not alone, with Leicester, Southampton, and Sheffield United also watching.

There are clubs from Germany, France, and Italy also doing their homework on one of the most unlikely stars of this season.

Leeds United might have the upper hand ahead of Sheffield United and fellow clubs in Oliver Antman pursuit

Antman would be quite the coup for any English side looking for a speedy and skillful winger with an eye for goal. The Finnish international is a product of the famed FC Nordsjælland system, which has produced scores of talent, including current Premier League wingers Mohammed Kudus, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Simon Adingra.

He joined Go Ahead last summer, becoming one of the biggest signings in their history when they paid just less than £1million for him, but now they are set to make a huge profit on him this summer, due to the campaign he is having.

Because of the wealth of options that Antman is set to have this summer, it could very well be the case that Leeds United are able to move ahead in their pursuit, providing that they are able to notch a return to the Premier League this season.

Due to Sheffield United’s recent form, which has seen Chris Wilder’s side notch three successive defeats, Leeds would have to face a seismic collapse if they were to somehow miss out on automatic promotion.
