It’s taken a while but Leicester City are finally showing signs of life in the transfer market.

After Marti Cifuentes said he preferred a small squad to work with, the job has been to get high earners and players surplus to requirements out the door.

Aside from Mads Hermansen, two of those have left and more are set to follow.

Bilal El Khannouss could join Crystal Palace this summer too and now another looks to be heading for the exit door.

Leicester in talks with Besiktas over Wout Faes sale

According to Turkiyegazetesi, Besiktas are returning to try and raid Leicester to sign Wout Faes.

The Turkish Super Lig outfit have already signed Wilfred Ndidi from the Foxes and now could offer Faes an escape route out.

In the report, they state that ‘official contact’ has got underway between the two parties and that a three-year contract with a one-year extension is on the table.

No final agreement has been made, but a delegate from Turkey are expected to fly over to England for talks.

Faes divides opinion among the Leicester fanbase, largely for performances on the pitch, but also because of his attitude.

The Belgian cupped his ears to the home crowd after scoring the winner against Sheffield Wednesday, angering large sections of the support.

However, Cifuentes has liked what he has seen and thinks the centre-back has plenty of quality.

He said: “Wout is showing me, as I would say all the players, is that he’s a fantastic, talented footballer. He helped us a lot in the second half to bring the ball faster, higher up the pitch, not just the goal.

“He’s training so well. Someone with his career, playing for Belgium, is a very good player. It’s my job to get the best out of him and I’m happy for him that he could score today.”
