Another Leicester City icon looks set to leave as Wilfred Ndidi edges closer to a transfer.
Ndidi had a £9m relegation release clause in his contract and Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath revealed that Besiktas had agreed a deal with the Foxes.
The midfielder has been with Leicester since January 2017 and gone on to become a huge figure at the King Power Stadium but with Marti Cifuentes keen to trim his squad and in the last year of his deal, it made sense.
It means another of the FA Cup winners from 2021 is about to flee the nest and now only two from that famous day remain.

Who still remains from Leicester’s FA Cup win against Chelsea?
Four years have passed since the Foxes won the FA Cup for the first time in their history and lots of the players that day have left the club.
Now, only two of the players involved in the match day squad remain and in a nice twist of fate, both came through the academy.
Luke Thomas started the game and looks likely to be the club’s first-choice left-back this season while fellow academy graduate Hamza Choudhury was on the bench.
Thomas played a part in Youri Tielemans’ winning goal and Choudhury came on for the final eight minutes of the game to help get the club over the line.
Wilfred Ndidi leaves with Leicester’s best wishes
When the Nigeria international arrived in January 2017, the expectation was that he would be the replacement for N’Golo Kante.
Although they are very different in style, Ndidi produced a series of great performances and playing a crucial role in their European campaign, as well as the FA Cup and the Championship title-winning season in 2024.
Legend may not be the correct term, but fondly thought of, he will always be.
