EFL Analysis understands that League One sides Luton Town and Stockport County are both keen on the full-back after his breakout campaign.
Luton Town and Stockport County are both targeting promotion to the Championship next season after their respective campaigns ended in equal disappointment.
For Luton, they were relegated from the second tier under Matt Bloomfield, after he took over from Rob Edwards, who is set to join Middlesbrough.
Stockport County finished third in League One, but were beaten by Charlton Athletic in the play-off final, and will be hoping to go one better in the upcoming 2025/26 third tier campaign.
As the summer transfer window continues, the two sides are both keen on a deal for a Premier League starlet after his breakout campaign in the EFL.

Luton Town and Stockport County target Burnley full-back Owen Dodgson
Burnley are a Premier League club once again after they finished runners-up in the 2024/25 Championship, and amid their return to the top flight, an array of EFL clubs are targeting Clarets full-back starlet Owen Dodgson.
EFL Analysis understands, via information from our Chief Football correspondent Graeme Bailey, that both Luton and Stockport County are keen on Burnley full-back Dodgson.
The 22-year-old spent the second half of 2024/25 on loan at League One side Burton Albion, and it looks like he could be set for a return to the third tier on loan for the coming campaign.
However, Luton and Stockport will have to fend off Championship interest in bringing Dodgson in on loan for next season.
Dodgson scored one goal and notched four assists in 22 third tier appearances at Burton Albion to help Gary Bowyer’s side to safety from demotion to League Two.
Manchester United academy product Dodgson arrived at Burton in the January window, and received lofty praise from Bowyer during his time on loan from Burnley.
Via DerbyshireLive, Bowyer said: “It helps us if you look at the squad, his versatility across the back line.
“He came in this morning and trained with us. And the big thing is you can tell he’s been training with Championship players already.
“I always like bringing a new player in and watching the staff’s faces who might not have known them as well as I do. They were like: ‘yeah, he’s not bad.’ And then, from the messages I’ve received, he just looks like a very good signing.”

Burnley starlet Owen Dodgson’s career statistics ahead of 2025/26 season
Left-back Dodgson joined the Clarets in 2020 from the Red Devils, and went on to make his first-team debut two years later in the FA Cup against Huddersfield Town.
Since arriving at Turf Moor, the versatile defender has spent time on loan with Rochdale, Barnsley, Dundee FC, and then Burton Albion in the second half of the 2024/25 season.
| Club name | Games | Goals | Assists |
| Burnley | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| Rochdale (loan) | 18 | 1 | 1 |
| Barnsley (loan) | 15 | 1 | 2 |
| Dundee FC (loan) | 17 | 0 | 2 |
| Burton Albion (loan) | 22 | 1 | 4 |
Last season, months before his Burton loan, Dodgson penned a new contract that will keep him at Burnley until the summer of 2027.
Dodgson is capable of operating as a traditional left-midfielder, or more defensively as a left-back and at centre-back.
