EFL Analysis understands that Charlton Athletic are trying to bring a former player, who has interest from a number of sides, back to the club.
After missing out on automatic promotion from League One to Wrexham when they were beaten 3-0 on April 26, Charlton Athletic enjoyed play-off success last month to secure their return to the Championship.
With the transfer window now open, attention has turned to potential incomings and outgoings at The Valley.
We revealed this week that manager Nathan Jones was offered the Cardiff City job, but has insisted he is remaining with the Addicks.
Meanwhile, EFL Analysis have now learned that Charlton are looking to re-sign one of their former stars.

Charlton Athletic want to sign Morgan Fox
We reported back in April that Morgan Fox had interest from several clubs, including Millwall, Blackburn Rovers and Hull City.
Now, thanks to information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis can reveal that Charlton are hoping to lure Fox back to The Valley this summer.
Fox, who is out of contract at Queens Park Rangers, has interest from a number of clubs – as we previously revealed.
Blackburn, Millwall and Hull have all expressed interest in signing him, whilst QPR have offered him fresh terms.
We can now reveal that Charlton – the club Fox began his professional career with and featured over 100 times before departing in 2017 – have now entered into the battle to land Fox and bring him back to the Valley.

Morgan Fox Charlton Athletic stats
Fox made the move to Charlton as a youngster, joining their youth ranks from Ipswich Town.
He went on to make 116 appearances for his former side, in which the defender scored one goal and assisted nine.
Fox left Charlton permanently in 2017 to join Sheffield Wednesday before moving to Stoke City, whom he left for free in 2023 to sign for QPR.
