Ryan Mason is starting to get comfortable at The Hawthorns as he gets set for his first full month in charge of West Brom.
The arrival of Nat Phillips in the Black Country has seen excitement levels rise for Baggies supporters and fans are already preparing themselves for the next new arrival.
West Brom are looking to end their Championship stay, having played in the second tier since 2021. However, vast improvements are still needed if they are to take that next step and finish in the top six next season.
Yet the Baggies have now missed out on one potential signing, and that will be a source of frustration for Mason as he prepares for pre-season.

West Brom miss out on Josh Mulligan
According to information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis understands that West Brom have missed out on the signing of Scottish prospect Josh Mulligan.

Mulligan held talks with West Brom, as well as Old Firm pair Rangers and Celtic.
However, we can confirm that the Dundee midfielder, who can also play wing-back, agreed terms with Hibernian on Wednesday – as first reported by Fabrizio Romano.
Mulligan is now booked in for a medical in the Scottish capital. It is believed Mulligan was won over by Hibs boss, David Gray, who guided the club to third place last season.

The Baggies have missed out with Josh Mulligan
Versatility is a key attribute to have in the Championship, and Mulligan’s ability to play in both central midfield and at wing-back is a real plus point.
He thrived in an attacking role on the right flank for Dundee, and still has the quality to work back and defend.

However, Hibs are set to play in Europe next season, and this will have been a huge draw for the 22-year-old. Nevertheless, West Brom will know that they have missed out on a quality player with plenty of potential to improve as the years go on.
