EFL Analysis has learned that rising star Ryan One may leave Sheffield United in the 2025 summer transfer window.

Sheffield United are preparing for another season in the Championship after losing to Sunderland in the play-off final.

Recent days have seen Chris Wilder’s future at the club called into question, with talks expected to be held.

Meanwhile, we previously reported that Liverpool hold an interest in Ryan One and have done an ‘awful lot of work on him’.

We have now gained a further insight into One’s future at Bramall Lane.

‘Real chance’ Ryan One leaves Sheffield United

One joined the Blades from Hamilton’s academy back in 2023 and remains under contract until 2029.

Now, EFL Analysis has spoken exclusively to transfer expert Graeme Bailey, who told us that there is a ‘real chance’ the teenager could leave Sheffield United.

He said: “Obviously Sheffield United like him a lot. There’s a good chance he stays, but it is a really interesting one.

“We’ll have to see how that progresses, especially with the managerial situation now.

“I think other players will have an impact on One, as well. It will depend on whether he’s going to get game time at United, and there are talks to be had.

“But yes, there is still a real chance he gets a move elsewhere.”

Chris Wilder comments on Ryan One

As Bailey hinted, the managerial situation at Sheff Utd might play a role in One’s future.

Wilder has previously praised the youngster highly and made it clear his future is with the Blades, as per the Yorkshire Post.

He said: “Ryan has a huge future in front of him, and his future is in a red and white shirt.

“I have spoken to the owners about securing our best players and talking about contract situations and making sure we don’t run contracts down unless players don’t want to be here.

“But there’s been no one who has spoken about leaving this season and doesn’t want to be here.”

But after recent developments, it remains to be seen if Wilder will be the man in charge come the start of 2025/26.
