Swansea City are looking to end their summer transfer window on a high, with Alan Sheehan still looking to bring more attacking players to the club.
The last few months have been somewhat of a whirlwind for the Swans, with Luka Modric becoming a minority shareholder, weeks before Snoop Dogg came on board in South Wales.
Nevertheless, on the pitch, there have been plenty of positives with the club currently sitting 7th in the Championship heading into the first international break of the season.
Now, Swansea are turning their attention to Lancashire as they seek out one final deal to close out the summer, and they may well have just been helped out by a league rival in their pursuit of a Burnley attacker.
Swansea City push to sign Manuel Benson from Burnley
The Swans are making a late move for the Clarets’ Manuel Benson, according to Anthony Joseph, with the Angola international out of favour at Turf Moor.

The 28-year-old looked to be joining Scottish giants Celtic, however, after Birmingham City’s £3m move for Hyunjun Yang broke down, they have pulled out of a potential deal.
The Bhoys had agreed a loan deal for the winger, and he was set to make the trip north of the border for a medical and to finalise a deal. However, it now looks as though a move to Swansea is on the cards.
Benson made just three league appearances for Burnley last season, with injuries denying him the opportunity of making an impact in Scott Parker’s team.
Manuel Benson’s injury record is a concern
Having played just a handful of games in the last year, rightfully, Swansea fans may have some major concerns.
An Achilles problem saw him miss the majority of Burnley’s promotion campaign, and when he did return to the squad, he found it tough to earn a place in the starting XI.

In the season prior, he suffered an ankle injury just a couple of months into the Clarets’ Premier League return. He made just eight appearances in the top flight in 2023/24, and Vincent Kompany did not seem convinced that he had what it takes to make the cut in the division.
Nonetheless, in a new environment at Swansea and under a coach who has developed a really tight-knit group, this could be the opportunity that Benson needs to get his career back on track.
