Birmingham City’s start to the season hasn’t been what everyone expected it to be so far.
Having been tipped as Championship promotion favourites, the Blues have lost back-to-back games and are holding onto their place in the top half.
EFL Analysis revealed that Chris Davies’ job is safe and that Birmingham are not worried about the recent slump in form.
Swansea City at home is the perfect chance to get back on track, and also prevent an embarrassing record from happening again.

Birmingham must score against Swansea City
Davies’ side were expected to have goals flowing through them after bringing in the likes of Kyogo Furuhashi, Demarai Gray and then already having Jay Stansfield on the books.
That hasn’t transpired and as well as being the side with the fewest shots on target (nine) in the league this season, the goals have dried up altogether.

As per BBC Sport, if they were to draw a blank against Swansea, it would be the first time since March 2024 that the Blues have gone three games without scoring.
Birmingham were relegated to League One that season, and while they don’t seem in danger of that, concerns are beginning to creep in.
Chris Davies knows how to solve Birmingham City’s issues
Since promotion, the Blues have looked far more pragmatic in games than their free-flowing football in the third tier.
The lack of attacking threat is becoming concerning, but Davies has stressed that he knows how to recover the form.
“I do find the underlying statistics are a good barometer of where you are,” he said.
“It’s the attacking side that we’re a little bit down on despite having a lot of possession and control. It’s something we need to keep working on.
“Every team that plays like us has this exact same problem, pretty much. It’s not unfamiliar territory, it’s definitely not overreacting to it, it’s just a case of trying to really impose box action, box entries, danger on the opposition to create more chances.”
