Sheffield United clashed with Sunderland in the Championship play-off final, and fans had a lot to say.
The Blades suffered disappointment at the end of the regular 2024/25 season, losing out on automatic promotion to Leeds United and Burnley.
Sheffield United had a poor end to the campaign that dented their top-two hopes but quickly bounced back in the Championship play-off semi-finals.
Chris Wilder’s team thumped Bristol City 6-0 over two legs, booking their spot in the final at Wembley against Sunderland.
Both teams went into the game knowing that the winner of the Championship play-off final receives over £200m, as well as the all-important spot in the Premier League.

Sheffield United dominated the opening of the tie and took the lead after 24 minutes when Gustavo Hamer burst forward from a Sunderland corner and played a lovely ball to Tyrese Campbell, who dinked his effort over the keeper.
It was a brilliant moment from Hamer, who has since received much praise, with many backing the midfielder to excel at a higher level than the Championship.

Hamer spoke about his improved form earlier this month, which helped the Blades secure a third-place finish.
The midfielder won the Championship Player of the Season award last month as well, beating off competition from Leeds and Burnley stars.
In total, he scored nine and assisted seven in the regular second-tier season for Sheffield United.
He also scored against Bristol City in the semi-finals and, of course, produced a moment of magic versus Sunderland.
