One Leicester City star stole the show in the away victory against Charlton Athletic, and it was not Abdul Fatawu.
Leicester City beat Charlton Athletic at The Valley as Abdul Fatawu’s strike was the difference between the two sides.
The Foxes were not quite at their best, as Marti Cifuentes’ side struggled to get a grasp on the game in the first half, but they managed to make their opportunities count as Fatawu unleashed a venomous effort that sailed into the far corner.
Following the goal, Leicester City faced a late surge of pressure from Nathan Jones’ Charlton, but they managed to maintain their lead, courtesy of a top performance by one Foxes hero.

Leicester City shot-stopper Jakub Stolarczyk was the difference maker vs Charlton Athletic
Whilst Leicester City kept hold of their clean sheet, it was courtesy of Foxes goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk, as opposed to a top performance by the defence.
Leicester City, in truth, looked shaky at the back and could easily have found themselves behind on a number of occasions.
For example, Charlton Athletic defender Kayne Ramsey nodded an effort goalwards from a set-piece, only for Stolarczyk to do incredibly well to keep it out, clutching the ball on the goalline.
It was no surprise to see Leicester City supporters agree that Stolarczyk made the difference on the afternoon, having voted the shot-stopper as the player of the match against the Addicks.
Foxes completed a masterstroke by replacing Mads Hermansen with Jakub Stolarczyk
Leicester City’s transfer business so far has been lauded as rather unsatisfactory, with Foxes fans expecting there to be more signings made to replace the departed players.
For example, Leicester City are set to lose Bilal El Khannouss this summer after he was left out of the squad for the visit to Charlton, and he could be challenging to replace for Jon Rudkin.
However, Leicester City have arguably pulled off a masterstroke with the deal to sell Mads Hermansen to West Ham United, to then be replaced by the more complete and composed Jakub Stolarczyk.
Providing that the Foxes keeper can maintain a similar level of performances, Leicester City will have made a brilliant decision to put their trust in the man who Marti Cifuentes lauded as ‘talented’ to start in-between the sticks.
