Blackburn Rovers are expected to be busy this summer transfer window as a number of players are expected to leave and join the club.
The Lancashire club have gone about their business early as they brought in Dion de Neve from KV Kortrijk on a three-year deal before Sidnei Tavares was next in the door.
While the club have been linked with a number of other signings, Rudy Gestede looks to make a statement this summer in his role with Rovers.
However, Blackburn Rovers and their fans will have to say farewell to a number of players this summer transfer window.
Rovers experienced this yesterday as both Danny Batth and Andreas Weimann left the club for Derby County, and fans have let their feelings be known about these departures.

Blackburn Rovers fans have reacted to the departure of Danny Batth and Andreas Weimann
Danny Batth and Andreas Weimann joined Rovers in the summer of 2024, playing one season at the club, and have now departed to join Derby County and their former Blackburn manager, John Eustace, at Pride Park.
The pair seemed happy enough to re-sign at Ewood Park if their demands were met in terms of being handed 2-year deals; however, Blackburn seemed unwilling to offer that deal to players who would both be 34 by the end of this summer transfer window.
Rovers’ fans have let their feelings be known on social media about the departure of the pair.
One fan said: “Both played a big part in getting us where we were last season; our defence was terrible without Batth, and Andi scored some big goals to keep us in the hunt. We’re stupid not to keep them on for a year since we’ve kept AF experience in every area of the park, which would have been good.”
Another fan agreed that more should have been done to keep them at the club, as they said: “If you’d have given them a two-year deal what they asked for last season, they’d still be here.”
Fans were all in agreement about the impact they had on Rovers last season, as one said: “Both were fantastic for us last season.”
While other fans seemed to be happy they had left the club, as one fan said: “Good riddance.”
Blame for failure to secure their contract extensions was placed solely on the club hierarchy.
One fan said: “Both good players; just a shame the club are run by utter clowns who should have resigned both on new contracts earlier in the year.”
Blackburn Rovers 2025 summer transfer window
The Lancashire club will now need to bring in replacements for the outgoing pair of Batth and Weimann.
Blackburn have been linked previously to Legia Warsaw defender Steve Kapuadi; however, the 27-year-old appears to be signing a contract extension with the Polish club.

Rovers fans seem to be hopeful of a significant number of signings this summer, something that may not be feasible due to off-the-field issues at the club.
However, as the club continues to be linked to a number of players, there is hope that there could be a few signings in the door this summer.
