Derby County are bringing their summer transfer window to an exciting end, with two more signings unveiled on Wednesday.

The Rams ended the night by bringing Max Johnston to the club, although fans are concerned about the lack of wingers at the club.

Meanwhile, Lewis Travis was announced after joining from Blackburn Rovers, and John Eustace has all but completed his midfield and defence.

Nevertheless, as usual with new arrivals, Derby spent the afternoon producing plenty of content for their social media pages involving their new number 27, Travis, and one comment may leave Rovers fans feeling very angry.

Blackburn Rovers fans will not be happy with what Lewis Travis has said about Derby County

The 27-year-old made 264 appearances for the Lancashire outfit before making the switch to the East Midlands, and he is already making himself at home at his new club.

Travis will reunite with five former Blackburn teammates at Pride Park, and it has been frustrating for Rovers fans to see key players leave their club for a rival Championship side.

Now, the new Derby man has made a strong claim about his career that will surely leave Blackburn supporters feeling livid. When asked what is the proudest moment in his career, he said: “Signing for Derby.”

Having won promotion to the Championship with Rovers in 2018, and promotion to the Premier League while on loan with Ipswich Town, Travis’ comment may purely be an attempt to win over his new fans, but the Rams will love what he had to say.

For Derby, it’s not been the easiest of starts to the season. Eustace bemoaned his side’s defensive performance against Burnley in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, despite an overall positive showing.

They make the trip to Portman Road on Saturday as they face Ipswich away from home, with both sides looking for their first league win of the campaign.

After joining halfway through the week, Travis may not be handed his first start against his former team, but it would not be a surprise to see him named on the bench in Suffolk and brought on to add more defensive strength to the midfield.

Derby are making improvements on the pitch and off it, and Eustace will be hoping that his new addition can fit right in at Pride Park as matchday four closes in.
