Sheffield United boss Ruben Selles is already feeling the heat in S2, with a stunning move for former Wednesday boss Danny Rohl being mooted.

Sheffield United have undergone a difficult start to the season, having suffered four defeats in as many games.

The beleaguered Blades, who sit rock-bottom of the Championship with just one goal before the international break, have struggled to adapt to life after the shock departure of Chris Wilder.

New boss Ruben Selles has already lost a section of the Sheffield United fanbase, with some keen for Blades owners COH Sports to cut their losses and find a successor.

While the Spaniard still remains in the job, extra clarity has been given on his job security, with the option of former Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl being discussed behind the scenes.

Alan Nixon provides Sheffield United update as Danny Rohl emerges as a surprise contender

It has been revealed, via Alan Nixon on Patreon, that Sheffield United boss Ruben Selles is beginning to ‘feel pressure to keep his job’.

EFL Analysis exclusively revealed that there are already doubts from Sheffield United, but he could be given time to turn things around.

Nixon also suggested that, while it has been a ‘hectic’ transfer window, results are needed soon, otherwise a change could be made.

Former Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl is ‘being whispered behind the scenes’ at Bramall Lane, and Nixon claims that the ex-Owl ‘would not be put off by moving across Sheffield’.

While Sheffield United making such an early move to get rid of Ruben Selles as head coach would be a surprise, it would definitely be topped if they sanctioned a move for Danny Rohl.

During his time in S6, across the Steel City, Rohl was beloved at Sheffield Wednesday, and the German would surely be keen to still be held in good standing by the Owls fanbase.

However, if he were to accept any approach from Sheffield United, it would be safe to assume that the blue side of the city would not take kindly to that decision.

Former Sheffield Wednesday boss Rohl has the standing to claim a Championship job this season, and while a move to United may be good on paper, the German would surely want to not affect existing relationships by taking the job.
