Danny Rohl’s Sheffield Wednesday side face Norwich City full of confidence after another impressive win on the road at the weekend against Plymouth Argyle.
The Owls have been outstanding away from home all season relative to their league position, having picked up the fifth-most points in the Championship on their travels in contrast to their disappointing record at Hillsborough.
They are aiming to repeat the trick at Carrow Road, which is a notoriously difficult place to travel to in the Championship. That said, a 3-0 win over relegation-battling Plymouth Argyle boosted belief that they can do so.
After another crazy weekend in the Championship, the Canaries are looking to pick themselves up from a disappointing 1-1 draw with Oxford United on Friday night. Norwich City are positioned in 10th place, sitting six points off the play-offs as they look to sneak in before the end of the season.

Sheffield Wednesday also have designs on promotion and a play-off berth, but they have plenty to do as they sit in 13th place in the table, seven points off, and with plenty of traffic between themselves and West Brom.

Danny Rohl and Sheffield Wednesday bullish about Carrow Road chances
Three huge points are at stake, with the loser knowing that their play-off hopes would be all but over and the winner still able to make a late charge at Coventry City and the Baggies. It’s a clash which also sees one of the best away teams face one of the best home sides.
Speaking via Pink Un ahead of the Norwich clash and after the Plymouth victory, Danny Rohl said: “The number of points we have taken away from home is outstanding compared to last season. Now we go again at Norwich on Tuesday.
“I am very happy. The previous three games we lost, but they were good performances without getting the results. This time we had the performance and the result.
“We played some good football, we did the right things with the ball. We won the second balls, counter-pressed in the right areas and in the end, I think we could have scored four or five goals.
“We scored the goals at good times and we were good all over the pitch. The clean sheet is very important and this is the result of a good team performance.”
Djeidi Gassama agreed, and stated that his side will be looking to win at Carrow Road. He added: “We knew we had to win this game before going to the next job. We’re calm, and we’ll go to Norwich for three more points.”

Norwich vs Sheffield Wednesday is a crucial fixture in the play-off race
Norwich know what is on the line this season, especially with key players such as Josh Sargent likely to depart if they fail to gain promotion. Having lost Gabriel Sara and Jonny Rowe in the summer window, they can expect further sales if they miss out on promotion this time around.
Similar issues are apparent for Wednesday, but more so regarding their manager. Many Owls fans are resigned to losing Rohl, with Southampton interested in the Sheffield Wednesday boss.
Both sides will need favours from elsewhere in the latest round of Championship fixtures as we approach the business end of the season. Games between teams 5th-14th are likely to be the most pivotal during the run-in.

Per Opta, Norwich have a percentage chance of just seven for a play-off place, while Sheffield Wednesday have a 3.6% chance of their own. Though, that figure is likely to change for both after the conclusion of the game tonight.
