Frank Lampard and Coventry City have a huge game on their hands as they travel to Hull City.
Results at the weekend mean that the Sky Blues can consolidate their place in the Championship’s top six, and even move into fifth should they beat Hull.

The Tigers meanwhile have their own battles and will want extra breathing room between themselves and the bottom three with three points at the MKM Stadium.
Mistakes can’t afford to happen, with Ruben Selles aware of how difficult Coventry will be and whilst both managers would usually look forward to going head-to-head in the dugout, there is every chance that only one of them will be present on the touchline.
Is Frank Lampard banned for Hull City?
Lampard was sent off during Coventry’s home defeat against Burnley after being deemed to have allegedly behaved in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards a match official.
The 46-year-old was in the dugout for the midweek win at Portsmouth and had until today (Monday 14 April) to contest the FA charge.

The Sky Blues boss told Coventry Live that he wouldn’t appeal the verdict and although it hasn’t been confirmed if he will serve a touchline ban, Lampard is fully expecting to be in the stands.
He said: “I won’t appeal it because I won’t win.
“I will miss Hull. That’s what I have heard today, although I can’t absolutely confirm that, but I think I will miss Hull.”
Frank Lampard managing play-off expectations
Excitement is growing around the Coventry Building Society Arena ahead of the chance to potentially bury the demons from the play-off final defeat to Luton Town in 2023.
Five games are all that stand between the side and that chance, which could make or break some players.
Thankfully, Lampard has experienced the big stage as a player and manager and think his players are handling the pressure well.
“They are. Just in their demeanour and how they are, the drive of the group. I think we’ve seen that in recent performances,” he said that. “We don’t have less to lose, we’ve all got the same to lose at this point but the change in feel is a big thing for us.”
