The votes have been counted and the winners of the Sky Bet Championship monthly awards for February have been revealed. To the surprise of no one, it’s a clean sweep for Leeds United after a perfect month.
In truth, there has been no team better than Leeds United all season, and they have been relentless in their march to promotion, and seemingly the Championship title, too.
While there are still 11 games to go, it looks like Leeds will go up this year and put the disappointment of last season’s play-off final defeat firmly behind them.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 1 | 35 | 22 | 10 | 3 | 72 | 22 | 50 | 76 | |
| 2 | 35 | 23 | 6 | 6 | 50 | 27 | 23 | 73 | |
| 3 | 35 | 19 | 14 | 2 | 45 | 10 | 35 | 71 | |
| 4 | 35 | 18 | 11 | 6 | 52 | 32 | 20 | 65 |
The Whites are now three points clear at the top of the Championship table, and five points ahead of third-placed Burnley, meaning it would take a monumental collapse for them to lose out on automatic promotion given their current form.
And, as expected, the club has been rewarded for their impressive efforts last month, with two big awards going to the Elland Road outfit.

Daniel Farke and Dan James crowned Manager and Player of the Month
After masterminding five wins from five games in February, including a phenomenal 7-0 thrashing of Cardiff City, Daniel Farke has been given the Manager of the Month award for February.

On winning the award, Farke said: “We were delighted to win all of our matches in February, which was a great collective achievement. This award is a result of the hard work of everyone involved and we
hope to continue in the same vein.”
Meanwhile, Danny Wilson, the chair of the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month judging panel, added: “With the race hotting up for the top two places in the Championship, Daniel and his Leeds side put pressure on the chasing pack with a 15 point return from their five games in February.
“They put seven goals past Cardiff but more importantly, beat close rivals Sheff United and Sunderland.”
The Player of the Month award was handed to Leeds United talisman, Dan James, who has put together a formidable run of form of late. The Welshman contributed three goals and four assists in February alone.
When given the award, James said: “The last month has been great for the whole team and we put together a brilliant winning run. It’s nice to be recognised and win individual accolades, but I couldn’t do it without my teammates.”

Dan James is the man to guide Leeds United to glory now
There’s no denying that Dan James has been on fire this season, and particularly since the turn of the year. In fact, there is no player in England with more assists than James’ return of six in 2025, which says it all.
While the goals of Joel Piroe, who is chasing the Championship Golden Boot, have been integral to Leeds’ results, it is the overall drive and dynamism of James that has become the beating heart of Farke’s team.
| Statistics | Dan James (2024/25) |

| Goals | 10 |
| Assists | 9 |
| xG | 8.7 |
| Shot-creating actions per 90 | 3.55 |
| Goal-creating actions per 90 | 0.85 |
James is now just two goal contributions away from his tally of 21 for last season, and with the rate he is going, he could and should surpass that fairly easily in the final run-in.
He’s proven once again that he is a player who deserves to be playing in the top flight, and it looks like he will get that chance next season.
James has not only delivered on an attacking front this season, though, but from a mentality perspective, he has really matured and has become a genuine leader in the Leeds squad. Without him, the Whites would be nowhere near as dangerous and they’re very lucky to have a player of that quality within their ranks.
