Leeds United fans have just urged Daniel Farke to sign Premier League duo on a free transfer

Now the dust is beginning to settle on their promotion to the Premier League, Leeds United and Daniel Farke can look ahead to the summer transfer window.

It promises to be a transformative summer for the Whites, who plan on releasing the deadwood from their squad while adding top flight quality.

Daniel Farke has already been warned about the gulf between the Championship and the Premier League, knowing that a war chest of funds is required to compete.

It’s been reported that Leeds will spend £150 million on transfers in an attempt to avoid relegation, and ahead of the window opening, several names are already being linked.

Leeds want to sign Manor Solomon permanently from Tottenham, while Illan Meslier could be replaced by Augsburg goalkeeper Finn Dahmen. Naturally, a large expenditure is required to remain at the top level, but supporters have also told Farke to snap up two players on a free transfer.

Leeds United fans want Lukasz Fabianski and Vladimir Coufal to move to Elland Road

On Friday, West Ham announced that four players will leave on a free transfer at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, including Vladimir Coufal and Lukasz Fabianski.

Fabianski recently turned 40 and made 13 appearances in the top flight this term, while Coufal is a 32-year-old right-back who has featured 19 times.

With Leeds looking for a new shot-stopper and a right-back to challenge Jayden Bogle, some supporters have surprisingly urged the club to sign the Premier League-proven duo.

“Could do a lot worse than signing Fabianski and Coufal as cover, Premier League proven and no hit on PSR,” one fan wrote.

“Byram to Vladimír Coufal. This is just an example, I’m not saying do these players, but it’s a way to get PL experience in the door,” another replied.

“Coufal on a free?” a third questioned.

“Welcome to Leeds Cresswell, Fabianski and Coufal,” someone else commented while a sixth responded: “This is exactly what we should be doing. Signing players who can kick us on a bit, but not costing the earth. And ones who may stay if/when we get relegated.”

Coufal would be a smart signing

Bogle enjoyed an outstanding campaign at Leeds and was named in the Championship Team of the Season after scoring six and assisting four from right-back.

While the 24-year-old is arguably the best full-back the second tier has to offer, there are question marks over his qualities in the top flight, having previously struggled with Sheffield United.

The Englishman could benefit from some competition at right-back, and considering Coufal is available on a free, he is potentially a bargain.

As highlighted by FBref, the Czech Republic star ranks in the top 4% of full-backs across Europe for aerial duels won, the top 20% for clearances and the top 15% for blocks over the past year.

Naturally, he is an upgrade on Bogle defensively and is someone who can still cut it in the Premier League.

That being said, his likely destination is reuniting with David Moyes at Everton.
