Leicester City finally parted company with Ruud van Nistelrooy on Friday after several weeks of rumours surrounding his future.
Ruud van Nistelrooy was hired by Leicester City to replace Steve Cooper in November and was handed the task of keeping the Foxes in the Premier League.
But unfortunately, his tenure at the King Power Stadium unravelled into a nightmare as City suffered relegation to the Championship, with preparations for the 2025/26 season now in disarray.
Van Nistelrooy left Leicester by mutual consent, despite some fans being open to the idea of staying, and now the door is open for someone else to take charge of a club in turmoil.
With Leicester facing a points deduction after breaching PSR during the 2023/24 season, supporters only want one man to replace the Dutchman.

Leicester City fans want Danny Rohl to replace Ruud van Nistelrooy
According to The Telegraph, sources have dismissed any chance of Sean Dyche taking charge of the Foxes next season, although Sheffield Wednesday’s Danny Rohl will now be their prime target.
EFL Analysis revealed at the start of June that Rohl is the favourite to become the Leicester manager as he looks for a way out of Hillsborough.
Wednesday are prepared to let Rohl leave, with discussions underway to dismiss the 36-year-old, and that could open the door for him to join the Foxes.
Rohl is open to staying in England, despite being attracted to a return to Germany, and Leicester fans agree he’s the perfect man to take over from Van Nistelrooy.
“Danny Rohl with our resources might be an unstoppable force in the league,” one fan wrote.
“Rohl or Martí Cifuentes I reckon will get it,” someone else commented while a third replied: “Danny Rohl’s blue and white army.”
“With Ruud now officially gone – eyes turn to who could replace him. There is one standout candidate for me [Danny Rohl],” another said.
“Dyche or Rohl will be the one, surely. My preference is the latter,” one supporter stated while a seventh wrote: “Is time to get the deal lined up for Danny Rohl. Bring Chris Powell with him, keep King there too.”
Rohl would face a difficult job at Leicester City
Leicester City are one of the favourites for promotion, but with a points deduction pending, they could face an uphill battle from match day one to achieve that goal.
The Foxes will need to get Rohl or whoever else through the door as quickly as possible since multiple key players are already poised to depart, with Conor Coady set to join Rangers and Bilal El Khannouss being targeted by Bayer Leverkusen.
Add to that the possibility of Mads Hermansen, Caleb Okoli, Jannik Vestergaard and Wout Faes all leaving, and City will need to completely overhaul their defence and attack this summer.
Of course, Rohl has worked under difficult circumstances at Sheffield Wednesday with no money to spend. But with the pressure of achieving promotion, it would be interesting to see how he’d manage such expectations.
