EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that there are some conflicting emotions inside Leicester City about the possibility of appointing Sean Dyche as their new manager.
Ruud van Nistelrooy is expected to leave Leicester ahead of their return to the Championship and Dyche has been linked with the Foxes’ hotseat.
With Leicester’s owners struggling financially away from football and supporters feeling apprehensive, it’s an appointment that the Foxes have to get right to keep the fans onside.
Dyche is close friends with Jon Rudkin and seems like a logical option, but not everyone is keen.

Sections of the Leicester City hierarchy aren’t keen on Sean Dyche
According to EFL Analysis’ Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey, little is being said by Leicester about the ongoing managerial decision, however, Dyche isn’t appealing to everyone.
Bailey said: “Sean Dyche is of interest to some people at Leicester. Not everyone. There’s been push back from what I’m told, but I certainly wouldn’t rule him out of the situation.
“We do know Ruud’s going to go, and Dyche is one who’s been under consideration. Will they have someone in on day one [after the sacking]. You’d hope so, wouldn’t you?
“Leicester are not really saying much. I guess they can’t really say much until Ruud goes, which is just an unfortunate situation they find themselves in.”
Danny Rohl update could change Leicester’s mind
One other manager who had been in the running for the job was Danny Rohl.
The Sheffield Wednesday manager’s future has been up in the air for several weeks after the Owls’ off-pitch issues.
Reports late on Monday night revealed that Rohl is set to leave Wednesday and the news could be confirmed sooner rather than later.
Rohl’s style of play is a complete contrast to Dyche’s but perhaps better suited to the current Foxes squad and it may change the minds of Leicester.
