Bristol City boss Liam Manning has urged the club to tie down one of his star players down to a new contract.
The Robins moved one step closer to securing a play-off spot with a huge 2-1 win against Sunderland on Good Friday.
With three games to go, Bristol City are fifth in the Championship and are four points clear of the chasing pack – meaning they can secure their top six spot with a game to spare should things stay the same.
Manning’s men have been the surprise package of the season, so it’s no wonder he wants to keep those who have been a huge part of it at Ashton Gate for next season.

Liam Manning wants Bristol City star Nahki Wells to sign a new contract
At the centre of all things good in the Friday win against Sunderland was forward Nahki Wells.
The 34-year-old wasn’t on the scoresheet but was denied a clear goalscoring opportunity when defender Trai Hume was sent off for a clear foul.
Asked about Wells’ future by Bristol Live in the aftermath of the result, the Bristol boss admitted that it is a case of “sooner the better” regarding his contract discussions, with his current deal up at the end of the season.
He said: “He’s been huge for us and we need him to keep it going now.
“He’s just intelligent. I think that’s what you get when you’ve got a really bright player. The other lads love him, he’s so pivotal in everything that we do here.
“He’s in a really good spot, he’s having a terrific season and long may it continue.”
Nahki Wells’ Bristol City career this season
He may well be in the latter stages of his career, but Wells is showing no signs of slowing down.
The Bermuda international has 10 goals from 36 games in the Championship this season and featured 38 times in all competitions.

To still be playing that many games and having such a big influence in an all-important season is testament to the exceptional career Wells has had throughout the Football League.
With only a few games to go, the forward’s future could be decided by where the Robins finished.
