To say that last weekend was a washout in Lancashire would be an understatement, so we’ve checked out the weather report for Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town’s next matches to see if they’re at risk of more rain.
In a cruel twist of fate, Blackburn Rovers were just ten minutes away from their first home win of the season last Saturday. However, the heavens opened on Ewood Park and referee Steve Martin had no choice but to abandon the game.
Ipswich Town will think themselves pretty lucky, given they were a goal down and a man down. While Todd Cantwell wants three points given to Blackburn, it’s thought the EFL will make the ‘harsh’ call of ordering a full replay.
Valerien Ismael will not be happy with that outcome. But, his main focus right now will be on this weekend’s game against Charlton Athletic, which will hopefully avoid the bad weather.

Weather report for Blackburn Rovers trip to Charlton Athletic
We figured we’d help put Ismael’s mind at ease and give Rovers fans peace of mind ahead of the weekend. So, here’s the weather report for Blackburn supporters planning a trip to London on Saturday.
According to the Met Office, the Borough of Greenwich where Charlton Athletic are situated can expect dry and mild conditions on Saturday.

The temperature will reach 16-17° between 3pm and 5pm during the game. The report does state there is a 20-30% chance of rain, but it doesn’t look like there’s any chance of a downpour like the one we saw at Ewood Park.
While Blackburn await the EFL deadline for a decision on the replay, at least they can rest easy knowing their next game should go without a hitch.

Weather report for Ipswich Town vs Portsmouth
Meanwhile, Ipswich Town host Portsmouth at Portman Road on Saturday. They may have benefited from the abandoned game last weekend, but they’ll not want any further disturbance.
Fans can expect sunny conditions around the time of the game, with temperatures in Suffolk also ranging between 16-17° between 3pm-5pm.

The Met Office report for Ipswich suggests far less chance of rain, with only a 10% likelihood of precipitation at those times.
Looks like Ipswich Town may not only get the decision of the EFL Board in their favour, but also get the better weather this weekend, too.
