Leeds United have secured their return to the Premier League, and one player has come in for high praise from Micah Richards.
Leeds United’s promotion from the Championship was confirmed on Monday evening after Burnley beat Sheffield United.
The Clarets and the Peacocks have now secured the top two places in the second tier, with the Championship title still up for grabs.
Leeds already have a Premier League advantage over Burnley, but it remains to be seen who will be crowned champions.

Securing first place is not of great importance; however, with fans, including Micah Richards, more excited about winning promotion.

Jayden Bogle has been ‘massive signing for Leeds United
A number of players have been crucial en route to promotion, with many fans suggesting Ao Tanaka should be Player of the Season.
However, it’s not Tanaka who Richards opted to single out for praise when speaking about Leeds this week, however.
Instead, the former Manchester City defender was quick to shine a light on Jayden Bogle, who arrived at Elland Road from Sheffield United in the summer.
When speaking on the Rest is Football podcast this week, Richards labelled Bogle a ‘massive signing’, while admitting he’s ‘buzzing’ Leeds are back in the Premier League.
He said: “You know who the massive signing has been for them though, they brought in the full-back, Bogel, and he has been sensational defensively, starting attacks, scoring goals.
“It’s been a great season. Rollercoaster, but I’m absolutely buzzing for them.”
Micah Richards comments on Leeds dropping Illan Meslier
While promotion is now confirmed, it did look as though at one point in the not-too-distant past that Leeds were falling apart again.
This was in part due to the poor form of number one goalkeeper, Illan Meslier.
However, Daniel Farke has dropped Meslier for Karl Darlow in recent weeks, a decision that has paid off.
On Meslier’s axe, Richards said: “Such a good goalkeeper [Meslier] really good with his feet, the way he plays out, the way they want to play perfect. But in vital moments, he made some big errors so the question mark was, and I saw all the Leeds fans all over social media saying ‘they’ve got to put Darlow in’.
“Just a safe pair, nothing too fancy, but he’s going to do you a job. And since he’s come into the team they’ve just steadied the ship a little bit and remember the swing, so when they beat Sheffield United a couple of months ago, it looked like they were going to run away with it no problem.
“Then they had a few bad results. Meslier made a few mistakes, and then it looked like it was going to be play-offs. But now they are up.”
