Plymouth Argyle could be relegated this weekend if they lose and results go against them.
Argyle face Preston North End, who have reduced tickets to £5 in a bid to get fans through the door at Deepdale and cheer them on in their own Championship survival battle.
Despite the drop to League One looking ominous for Plymouth they have looked much-improved under Miron Muslic since his arrival in January.
He replaced Wayne Rooney after the Manchester United legend endured a torrid time down at Home Park and Muslic didn’t hold back in his opinion after being asked if the Pilgrims could still stay up.

Miron Muslic claims he would’ve done better job than Wayne Rooney
Muslic has overseen some big wins this season.- most notably against Premier League champions elect Liverpool in the FA Cup.
His most recent victory was a 3-1 triumph against Coventry City to leave them three points adrift of safety with only two games remaining.

Asked about whether he could keep Plymouth up, Muslic appeared to make a subtle dig about Rooney’s efforts, claiming he’d have kept Argyle up had he been in charge all season.
“I think if I’m the head coach from day one we will be far, far away from the relegation zone, we will be safe five games ago,” Muslic told the BBC.
“I truly believe if I will be here with my staff from day one, we will be nowhere near where we are right now.”
Miron Muslic’s record compared to Wayne Rooney’s
It’s all well and good saying that you’d have kept them up, but how does Muslic’s record compare to Rooney’s.
In simple terms: it’s miles better.
| Games | Wins | Draws | Losses | Points | PPG | |
| Miron Muslic | 19 | 6 | 5 | 8 | 23 | 1.21 |
| Wayne Rooney | 23 | 4 | 6 | 13 | 18 | 0.78 |
Not only has Muslic picked up more points in less time, his average of 1.21 per game suggests that they would’ve ended up on 56 points – a whopping eight points more than the maximum they can achieve now.
They would currently be sat at the 53 points mark now if Muslic was in charge and therefore would’ve confirmed their spot in the second tier next season.
