Sheffield Wednesday fans have finally received some good news before their season resumes against Bristol City this weekend.
Wednesday’s supporters are plotting another protest against controversial owner Dejphon Chansiri on Saturday while Henrik Pedersen’s side look to keep their heads above water amid the turbulent off-pitch events at Hillsborough.
The Owls had been linked with Manchester City coach Craig Mudd, who worked alongside Pep Guardiola at the Club World Cup and is assistant for their Under-21s squad, last week.
Now, Sheffield’s The Star journalist Joe Crann has provided a major update on Mudd.

Manchester City coach Craig Mudd spotted at Sheffield Wednesday training, fans are thrilled for Henrik Pedersen
According to Crann, Mudd has been seen in S6 ahead of taking on his new role. There is no official confirmation from the club or Manchester City yet, but the former Rotherham player has been spotted in training.
A number of Wednesday fans enjoyed hearing some promising news amid the doom and gloom. One wrote on X: “Fantastic appointment if true.”
“Purely from a footballing sense it’s good to see that Henrik is going to get some more help with additional backroom staff,” another said.
Another fan, clearly enjoying making puns with Mudd’s surname, quipped: “Can he help get us out of it that’s the question?”
Henrik Pedersen needs a new right hand man after Chris Powell departure amid Dejphon Chansiri issues
Danny Rohl’s assistant Chris Powell left the club this summer following the expiration of his deal with the Owls.
The former England international and coach was a fan favourite at Hillsborough, and Pedersen will no doubt have missed leaning on him during his time as Wednesday boss.
Under-21s manager Andy Holdsworth and Under-18s coach Giles Coke have been with the first team in the meantime.

Now, it looks as though the Owls coaches and Pedersen will be aided by one of the country’s finest clubs’ members of staff.
