Sheffield Wednesday have won just two games so far this season, with both of them coming in the Carabao Cup.
Harry Amass was the only outfield signing for the Owls in the summer, as Manchester United agreed a superb loan deal with Henrik Pedersen’s team that effectively means the South Yorkshire outfit will not pay a penny.
However, there are still huge concerns about any potential sale of the club going forward, with Kieran Maguire urging Dejphon Chansiri to change his valuation.
Nevertheless, after beating Leeds United on penalties in the second round of the Carabao Cup, Sheffield Wednesday face Grimsby Town later this month, and supporters are already planning a boycott.

Sheffield Wednesday fans urge others to boycott Grimsby Town clash
Grimsby fielded an ineligible player in their win over Manchester United in the last round, and there were perhaps some fears that they would be kicked out of the competition, but the League Two side were fined instead.

Now, they are preparing for their clash with Championship opposition, but Sheffield Wednesday supporters are planning on a boycott of the tie at Hillsborough after ticket prices were announced.
Another fan wrote: “What’s the point of even posting this?”
While a third simply put: “BOYCOTT!”
“Not a chance. Not a penny more until Dej sells up. All fans need to boycott. Starve him of any income,” said a fifth.
As another Sheffield Wednesday supporter wrote: “Avoid, avoid, avoid… don’t buy tickets. CHANSIRI OUT!”

The Owls have already had one incredibly low Carabao Cup attendance this season
With supporters having to pay for cup games separately to their season tickets, this is a direct way that those who go to the league matches can demonstrate their feelings clearly.
Sheffield Wednesday had an attendance of just 7,801 at Hillsborough against Leeds last month, with around 3,700 of those coming from the away side.

Therefore, it seems likely that the third round will see even fewer fans make their way to S6 due to Grimsby playing in League Two, which is unlikely to draw much interest from some of those Owls fans who are not willing to boycott.
Sheffield Wednesday need to find a way out of their current situation, and this may well just be one of the only ways to directly have an impact on Chansiri’s operating costs.
