Southampton are set to do battle in the Championship this season with the aim to win promotion back to the Premier League following their relegation in their last campaign.
The Saints appointed Will Still as manager to achieve this ambition ahead of the 2025/26 Championship campaign, and his first weeks in charge have been centred around the transfer window.
He has been in search of acquiring talent to play his style of football, in the hopes of earning them promotion, while also bidding farewell to several faces including Aaron Ramsdale who has left on loan to Newcastle United.

Still will be hopeful a fresh feel can help put last season’s performance behind them as the Saints nearly broke Derby County’s points record, as they accrued just 12 over the course of their 38 games.
Part of the strategy is moving forward in new kits this season and fans have made the club know if they have succeeded in boosting the mood around the club.
Southampton fans react to the 2025/26 third kit
Everyone knows the kit does not play any real part in the team performance on the pitch, however, having a kit that fans and players find attractive can always help the mood around the club particularly if great memories are created in the jersey.
Southampton fans have made their feelings be known on social media about what they think of the new third kit released by the club as they hope to witness their side thrive on the pitch.
One fan said: “Knocked it out the park this year.”
While another said : “Yes! This is the one I’ve been waiting for. Although, buying all 3 is tempting.”
The overall consensus seemed to agree that all three of the club’s kits this season are incredible, with one fan worried about his bank balance as he feels he needs to purchase all of them.
He said: “3/3 on the kits this year, these will ruin my bank balance cheers lads. All phenomenal.”
While another fan made a comparison to last season’s kits and was curious how they had improved so vastly.
He said: “Southampton have gone from having the worst set of kits I’ve ever seen, to possibly the best in England.”
Cost of the Southampton kits
Southampton fans may be interested to know the cost of purchasing one of the jerseys from the club store.
Across the three kits that the club have released ahead of the 2025/26 Championship season an adult male or female jersey will cost £65, while a child’s is £50.
Now, this is not cheap; however, it is not as extortionate an amount for fans to pay, if you’re buying it as a sole item, when compared to some of the prices being asked for from other clubs.
Yet, it must be remembered that football is a family game, and so the cost will soon add up when people are being asked to buy jerseys and full kits for loved ones.
