Cardiff City have dominated the news of late, mainly for comments made by Omer Riza earlier this week, with some crucial news now emerging from the club.
In the fight to avoid relegation from the Championship, Cardiff City are currently one point adrift of 21st place Derby County after a disappointing Good Friday.
Omer Riza’s men kicked off a pivotal couple of days in the worst way possible as Cardiff were beaten 2-0 by Sheffield United.
Earlier in the week, the manager made some controversial comments to the media as the under pressure Riza claimed he was ‘happy’ to lose his job.
Those comments were made after Neil Warnock was lined up to replace Riza in the dugout, and now supporters have their answer to that speculation.

Cardiff City fans react to Aaron Ramsey replacing Omer Riza as manager
EFL pundit Ali Maxwell offered a damning verdict on Cardiff’s relegation chances after they were beaten 1-0 by Stoke City last weekend.
Their hopes of achieving survival were then, of course, dealt another blow on Friday and unsurprisingly, the Bluebirds have now decided to part ways with Riza after just seven months in charge.
Interestingly, the Welsh outfit have placed midfielder Aaron Ramsey in the hot seat for the final three games and it has prompted a mixed response from supporters.
While some think it’s detrimental putting someone in a managerial role with little experience, others are expecting the atmosphere to be better for an incredibly important few weeks in the clubs history.
“I fear this is all too little too late. Swapping someone with little experience for someone with no experience in coaching doesn’t fill me with the biggest optimism,” one fan wrote.
“4 months too late but get in there,” another said, feeling happy about his dismissal, while someone else commented: “Far too late but if it was going to be anyone it should be him. Good luck Rambo, you’re gonna need it.”
“Far, far too late. I’ve backed Riza on here every time it’s come up but he should have gone weeks ago. Rambo in the dugout though! Let’s pack out the CCS on Monday,” another replied.
“Too little too late but glad to see the back of that fraud. The desperate actions of a club in turmoil, run by disinterested parties,” a sixth wrote while a seventh pointed out: “Might be too late. But you never know. Was dreading Monday. Now can’t wait.”
Riza’s grim Cardiff record in numbers
In his seven months in charge, Cardiff fans never took to Riza’s methods or playing style, leaving them worried about the prospect of relegation.
It quickly became clear that the 45-year-old was the completely wrong appointment to replace Erol Bulut, who did a decent job during his time at the club.
Omer Riza’s Cardiff City record
40 matches
11 wins
14 draws
15 losses
27.5% win percentage
Riza’s record makes for pretty grim reading as he recorded just a 27.5% win percentage and just 11 wins, with Cardiff supporters understandably happy to see the back of him.
