Sheffield United fell to a 2-1 defeat at Home Park to leave Chris Wilder’s automatic promotion hopes hanging by a thread.
The Blades went ahead through Jesurun Rak-Sakyi but a late, late show from Argyle turned the game around and Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United fans lapped up the full-time reaction.

That included a brawl as the teams went down the tunnel, with Chris Wilder involved in squaring up to some of the Plymouth players in the process after Miron Muslic had predicted his side would win prior to kick-off.
Amid the shocking scenes was a shock result, given pundits predicting a win for the Blades to get back on track. Instead, it’s three defeats on the bounce for the side heading back to South Yorkshire.

Chris Wilder explains the brawl in the aftermath of Sheffield United against Plymouth
The Championship continues to throw up twists and turns and live up to its reputation, but there were dramatic scenes at the end of the game at Home Park even after the full-time whistle.
Given the high intensity nature of the game and the pressure on both sides, it wasn’t altogether surprising to see things boil over, with Wilder getting involved in the scenes.
Speaking to Sky Sports post-match, he explained the situation. Wilder was asked: “Emotions were running high at the end, what happened heading into the tunnel?”
He said: “Yeah, it was absolutely nothing, really. They are celebrating a big win and they are coming off.
“Unfortunately, our supporters are in the stand right next to the tunnel, so we get everybody in.
“I spoke to their manager — good as gold —and he understands the situation just as much as I do and the referee.
“Emotions are running high in a game of football. I’ve always, always said emotions run high, especially for their boys as well because it’s a huge win for them.
“I’m sure if we’d won today, that would’ve made it doubly as difficult for them to stay in the division so they’ve got a fighting chance of staying in the division and we’ve given up another massive opportunity.
“We’re not in a great position because of a week full of poor results. We have to accept that and own that. We’ll reset on Monday.”

Supercomputer provides update on Sheffield United’s promotion chances following Plymouth defeat
Opta have been updating their supercomputer after every matchday of the season. Burnley’s 2-1 win on Friday night and Leeds United’s 2-1 win at home to Preston North End have seen things shift once again.
The percentages have moved more than usual yet again. The Blades have fallen back to just an 8.18% chance of automatic promotion, with Burnley (93.34%) and Leeds (98.48%) miles in front.
It’s still salvageable but requires Wilder and co. now winning all of their remaining games, especially the titanic game at Turf Moor in a few games during Easter Weekend.
That weekend often throws up surprises at this crucial stage in the season, and pressure can often make players and teams do some strange things. The business end of the season has shown Leeds and Burnley have the bottle to do the business but the landscape can quickly change.
