It’s just under a week until Southampton return to Championship action for the first time in over a year, with promotion the goal at St. Mary’s.
Will Still hasn’t been overly busy in the transfer market, with just two new faces at the club so far this summer. However, after Mauricio Pochettino persuaded Damion Downs to join the Saints, the business they have done is strong.
Yet, a new goalkeeper must be a priority after Aaron Ramsdale’s move to Newcastle United, while the future of one key star remains a hot topic in Hampshire.
Tyler Dibling has already been the subject of one bid from Everton, but Will Still has been open on the situation with the talented midfielder.

Will Still opens up on Tyler Dibling’s future at Southampton
At the end of last season, Southampton placed a £100m price tag on Dibling, as per the Daily Mail. However, that has come down significantly.

After the first bid from Everton was rejected, Alex Crook has reported that Everton are about to return with an improved offer.
He asked Still about the saga surrounding the 19-year-old following the Saints’ 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion in a pre-season friendly on Saturday. He said: “I have no idea to be honest. The club have set a price and we have good players.
“Tyler is fine and just getting on with it.”

The Saints look resigned to losing Tyler Dibling
Dibling is going to be a star in the future and it will come as no surprise to anybody at Southampton to see him the subject of significant Premier League interest.
However, the teenager will be keen to prove himself in the top flight after a difficult season with the Saints, as his team struggled at the bottom of the division throughout.

The Championship could be a very good place for Dibling to develop, especially as Southampton could guarantee him game time, but there is a huge allure to playing in the Premier League.
Still has tried to remain tight-lipped about his midfielder’s future, but Everton are going all out to get their man.
