Wrexham are a club looking to develop all areas of the club as they continue their rise through the English football pyramid, and judging by the latest job opening, they are not resting on their laurels.
Ever since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over at Wrexham, we’ve seen the club become a global sensation both on and off the pitch.
Wrexham have become a recognisable name around the globe at this stage, in no small part due to their docuseries on Disney, with this being aided by the incredible success on the pitch by Phil Parkinson’s men, as they achieved three consecutive promotions.

However, the club clearly have ambitions of growing further, and this includes capitalising on the wave of success experienced by England this summer in their latest job posting.
Wrexham are looking for a Director of Women’s Football
The Red Dragons have posted their latest vacancy, Director of Women’s Football, on EFL Jobs.
It is an indication of how they want to grow their women’s team, using the positive wave that has come from the success of England and Wales at the European Championships.
Wrexham took a big step for their women’s team as they made the side semi-professional for the first time ever in June 2023, and now, they are looking to build further as they look for a Director of Women’s Football.

They posted that they are looking for someone to come in and reshape the future of the club in this area, from overseeing recruitment to developing a player pathway and managing all the off-the-field responsibilities to make Wrexham women ‘the best in Wales’.
Wrexham have indicated who they are looking for in their job posting, and clearly they are looking for an experienced figure to lead this with incredible ability, as they require them to have a UEFA A licence and experience in a similar role.

How the Wrexham Women are performing
Wrexham’s women’s side have enjoyed a rise through the football pyramid much like the men in recent seasons.
They were promoted to the Adran Premier Division back in March 2023, just months after announcing they would become a semi-professional side alongside the likes of Swansea City and Cardiff City.
Last season, the team enjoyed another successful journey, finishing fourth in the league with 32 points. Cardiff won the league with a total of 46 points.
In the past week the club have appointed Jenny Sugarman as the new manager following the departure of Steve Dale, after he had been in charge for four seasons, and so there will be intrigue around the club as to how they will fare this campaign under a new boss.
