Daniel Farke’s Leeds United fate has already been foreshadowed by brutal Norwich City treatment

Football is a cruel game sometimes and nobody knows that better than Daniel Farke.

The German should be celebrating Leeds United’s promotion to the Premier League, however, he is now wondering if he’ll even be in a job next season.

Reports this week claimed that Farke could be sacked by the Whites following doubts about the German’s top-flight record.

Leeds could still become of the best teams in Championship history and reach the milestone 100 points total.

Add that to the fact that Farke has already beaten Marcelo Bielsa’s record points tally of 93, the idea of him leaving Elland Road is unfathomable.

But, it’s still a possibility and while many would find it extremely harsh, Farke is used to the brutal reality of football.

Daniel Farke was sacked by Norwich City after first Premier League win

Before his success at Leeds, the German was in charge of Norwich City, where he won the Championship twice.

Norwich were also relegated from the Premier League in-between that and it was in his second crack in the top flight where he was given his marching orders.

By the time 6 November 2019 rolled around, Farke should’ve really gone in all honesty but instead he was able to guide the Canaries to a 2-1 win away at Brentford.

A first win of the league season wasn’t enough though and the 48-year-old was dismissed shortly after.

It seemed harsh on the outside but Norwich pulled the trigger and it seems Leeds wouldn’t be afraid to do the same if they feel it will give them the best chance of staying up.

Three clubs that could be the perfect bounce back option for Daniel Farke if he is sacked by Leeds

Given his promotion record with two clubs (three promotions in four seasons), Farke isn’t likely to be short of interest from Championship clubs.

Norwich sacked Johannes Hoff Thorup earlier this week and the idea of a fairytale return to Carrow Road could appeal.

Southampton are also looking for a manager whilst Leicester City look set to get rid of Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Both will be among the favourites for promotion and will want an expert in the dugout to get the job done. Farke could be that man…
